Hmmmm....

The 128i doesn't come with Xenon standard? What?? I thought the 328i always have had it standard. Not for the 128i? How much of a price diff to add the Xenon back?

Several additional things to think about...
- AFAIK inifinti depreciates quicker (as a percentage).
- do you need 300+ hps? otherwise this is just a gas sucker.... u'll cry when the pump hits $1.5/$2 a liter
- how often do you need access to the rear seats?

If you go for G37, might wanna check out Maxima too.  I think it's not bad.

I still don't understand how can you compare a small sport coupe with a mid/large luxury sedan.

if you are thinking about 128 why not just go for 328? 128 is way smaller regardless if you hv passengers at the back or not i think... but also 128 and g37 has a huge gap too.. different levels of cars

i'm currently driving a 328. i'm hoping for a coupe. thats why i'm considering the 128. then g became my option as well because of the similarity of the prices. i'll be paying for a big chunk of it, so i cant afford anything like a 328 coupe or g coupe. the small back seats of the 128 isn't really an issue because we have another car and the 128'll mostly be my car only. to add the xenon i'll have to get the premium package which is another $3000. (you can't add it on its own)

i wouldn't really consider the g sedan to be a mid/large luxury sedan though? it's more like a sports sedan to me.. loud engine, high hp... for the same price, the g sedan seems to offer so much more =\

The G is definitely much bigger than the 128.  However, it will eat quite a bit more gas and as others pointed out, depreciate much quicker.  I also agree that if you are keeping it, choosing the G may be a better choice as you get way more from the G than the 128 equipment-wise.  

Now that you said you are driving the 328, what's wrong with it?  Are you trying to sell it/trade it in?  Why not keep driving it for some more time until you can afford something better? Like, saving up the 3k for the premium package?
