My personal experience in terms of alteration wasn't that great with them too. I ordered and bought a brand new wedding gown from them, and 4 pieces of bridesmaid dresses, and they told me that I will get free alterations on my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses, since I bought 5 dresses in total, and also I bought quite a large pre-wedding package from them. And just about 2 months before my wedding, all the dresses finally arrived. As for my wedding dresses, there isn't much alteration needed, except the length was a little long, but my dress has a lot of beading at the bottom, so its quite a lot of work to alter it. So she promised me to send it for alteration. And 2 weeks later, when I went and picked it up, IT WAS NOT ALTERED! she kept telling me that it had been altered. BUT come on, I'm not stupid, and I had the same shoe on, and the wedding gown is so obvious that its too long that I might step on it and trip. So the dress wasn't altered at all, it was still the same as before. So I had to argue with her and tell her that this is not what I wanted. And she kept giving me excuses and said it couldn't be too short otherwise it will look ugly etc etc, and that it had been altered. Anywayz, so she promised me to send it out for alteration again. And believe me or not, when it comes back, it is still the same. I was so pissed, so I just took the wedding gown and went to another lady to help me alter, as I do not even want to deal with them anymore.
So as for my 4 bridesmaid dresses. They initially told me that alterations are included. And actually 2 of my bridesmaid needed the alteration, and the other 2 don't need any alterations. So I went to the store with 2 of my bridesmaid. NOW, she is telling me that she can only help me alter their length, and can't help me alter the width. SO I asked her, then why did you told me before that all the alterations are included? And now its NOT! She said she can only help me alter length, as she thinks the width of the dress fits fine on my bridesmaids. But the both of them agreed that the dress were too loose. We argued and argued! She kept saying that i need to pay an extra $40/dress if I think the dress were too loose on them. And finally I was so pissed, and I just threw her $80 on the counter and I left, and I told her you better do your job well with this freaking extra $80. I really hate dealing with them.
I have to agree the photograph they took was not bad, but in terms of customer service (after you pay deposit, or after you 'wash wet your hair', then its POOR!" |
