咁有時我都會星期六日去買餸,當你見到有個肥妹揀緊平價菜,可能係我?

If it's $700 for 3 months so it's around $233 per month. It's not too far off from the budget ($50/week) talks about in the beginning of this thread.

But if it's really $700 each month it's really a lot to me....of course...need to know how many people in the family here...if it's family of 4 then it makes more sense...

It depends on if you go out to eat a lot, then you don't cook at home that much..

I think veggies and fruits are generally cheap at any asian market. I usually will go to Costco or Superstore to get a bulk pack of meat (chicken, pork, etc) and freeze them into small packages and eat it for like...2 weeks. Even better I have friends who recommended me to marinate the meat before freezing them so when you thaw them for cooking it is already pre-marinated.

sorry, maybe i am not that clear.

family of 3, monthly $700 on grocery, thats not only on food, other stuff like toliet stuff, housewhole stuff.. etc.

I also have another credit card, i think avg monthly is about $1000.. (things like bus pass, petrol, electric, eat out, toys... ) aii...

so my monthly expense is about $1700 ga...

I'm aging and I don't eat much meat.
Anyway, I spend a lot of time market shopping  for my cooking classes.
    Sometime  $500 a day
