Actually Gordon has done a very bad bad thing for the next government: The tax cut will blow a big hole in the currrent budget and whoever pick it up in the next term will have to make very very smart move to fix it.  
   
I have no doubt the Liberal can fix it but NDP, unless they roll it back against popular wishes, will manage the budget badly, drag the whole BC down with it and get voted out in the next term.

In business, this is called swallowing the poison pill and is used mainly against hostile take-over.
