咁easy話legalize就可觧决問題? Sweden legalized it long long time ago but they went back to criminalizing it in 1999.  How do you deal with huge sex industry expansion, trafficking, child prostitutes, STD, etc...plus a bunch of implementation issues such as $, registration, monitoring taxation, etc...does it really offer protection to the prostitutes or does it protects the people who control this market?

Fast expansion of the sex industry of course will affect our next gen...got brains to think a bit further ahead?  When your daughters/girlfriends/wives/moms/etc all dump their jobs to become prostitute (because they think that it's "profession" just like any other job but makes way more $$$), will that be a problem?  It might not happen in the coming gen but the one after and after?  If you still don't see the problem, you're really "short-sighted".  There will be no families, no proper economy to sustain a "normal" life.

Don't always target the 衛道之士, that makes me sick.  Got guts to just discuss this on a more general political/economical basis?

Let me use an example to demonstrate my point in response to part of your argument.

Well many ppl are under the impression that smoking is bad for your health.
smoking is legal.
do you see everybody around you starts smoking just because it's legal?

on the other hand,

many ppl are under the impression that drugs are bad for your health.
doing drugs is illegal.
do you see the people who use drugs stop/not using it just because it's illegal?

a while ago, people don't think smoking kills, they just think it's cool, so more people started smoking

People who USE drugs of course won't care if it's legal or not, only for those who are starting to or going to would care if it's legal or not.  Making it legal provides very easy access to this harmful substances, e.g. you can buy from 7-eleven in HK?

now do you see the difference?
