An ex-colleague of mine(an Indian!) was so frustrated about the traffic from Surrey to Burnaby, he chose to move to UK! Others have gone to sky train or try coming/leaving office at different times. I live in Burnaby, so the only time that I take highway 1 to Surrey/Langly is when I go camping to Cultus Lake or beyond. The traffic is so bad now, because of the various road constructions, it gave me a lot of pressure when driving through that area(trying to go faster by going into and out of the traffic!).

    我知有D人搭住Surrey會搭skytrain﹐或者搭巴士去Richmond在轉skytrain都有......

UK邊度我唔知﹐但係如果係倫敦的話traffic差幾百倍啵﹗

佢個rental restrictions 係只可以50% o既單位出租
就算今年比我租到出去,但係出年租約完o既時候都未必可以比我再出租

rental restrictions 周圍都有,有d 係成座大廈唔可以出租,有d 係可以出租但係min 要一年約,有d 係指定幾多個單位可以出租.

係lor.佢o地覺得要交property tax 好唔抵....
我個人認為我o地由細到大都覺得社會比唔到乜o野保障我o地,退休都要食自己,所以都係有物業o係手好d...

我公司o係downtown,我有d 同事住coquitlam abbotsford,佢o地都係搭westcoast express 返工...但係果架o野都好貴o下,一個月要成三百蚊...

但係downtown大部份apartment都餘你係做investment架啦﹐真係少D有rental restrictions﹐擺明趕客。你話某D地方例如coquitlam/ burnaby residential area就唔出奇。

    -_- 我緊係明點解有restrictions啦﹐但係如果你選摘住喺公路傍邊點解仲要投訴隔離洗衫太噪? 如果住得downtown都餘左係短期租客/業主多架啦。

All because of this potential, most of the strata in DT area have straighter restrictions like that in order to protect the long/longer term tenants to maintain less "雜" environment.
