我覺得既然黎左加拿大，英文係official language，同人greeting梗係用英文先啦

國語 = 中文﹐其他方言 =/= 中文﹐那只是內地人的想法吧了。。。其實若方言不算中文那算哪國家的話﹖唔通係法文﹖

In Richmond, most people say Mandarin/Cantonese la (especially mid-age people). So I am not surprise if people talk to me in Chinese (mandarin/cantonese). But as long as they are polite, I don't mind whatever language they speak and I'll answer in corresponding languages lor. (cantonese/mandarin). To young people, I will speak in English for sure.

Actually in Malaysia, 福建話 and Cantonese are more common than Mandarin.
