I have to correct you, FAs "at the bank" are just sales, they don't have REAL QUALITIES to be a financial advisor (some of them just got promoted as the bank cannot find anyone better, I've seen a lot of those), but there are also REAL Financial Advisors out there, look for those Financial Planning companies, they offer overall services... a good FA should look at your overall goals in life, cash flow, insurance needs, retirement income needed, will & estate, everything should be taken into account, and they should be actively manage your money & your needs. Words of mouth is a good way to find good FAs but only listen to those people you trust, not anyone on the street. |
