on that spot i bet 11 out of 10 drivers would get a speeding ticket
sneaky cops
dispute
Just pay it and take adv of the discount you get for paying early. I wouldn't call it 'face' the consequences, because you did nothing 'wrong', u just did something 'illegal'. It's just that the rules are meant to be unfair and it's designed to be a cash grab. I mean, if 9/10 drivers would get a ticket it's not the driver's fault but the law is just out of date or made to be a revenue generator.
As always, law is just a game, play it to your advantage if you can, otherwise don't bother fighting it, it'll just waste your time and effort. Next time be extra cop aware, summer weekend it's always speed trap everywhere. Hide behind cars and always look far ahead and be ready on your brake pedal. There's NOTHING you can do if they meant to get you, because they can ticket you even if you are just 1km/hr above the limit and you will still lose allegation dispute in court (provided all the legal nitty gritty was done right). Ah well... that's North American life, North American law and North American law enforcement for us all.
was it really busy on the highway at the time? were there alot of cars around you?
you can *try* and argue that there were too many cars and how can he be certain his radar hit your car. I'm not sure what the radar guns show, so you might want to confirm that first. If it shows the license plate then you are out of luck.
Basically in court you can ask the officer "What kind of training you received to ensure that your gun is pointed at the car you want to check on? When did you last receive your training?" etc etc

poor u princess *big hugs*..but i think it's better for u to pay the ticket in advance la.. no need to waste ur time to go to court or worry this and that~~ watch out for those cops next time!!
my coworker was caught speeding twice, both times went to court, neither cop showed up...so he got away...
good luck

Expired parking would be more difficult to dispute, cus the meter attendants will appear at the court, they get paid for doing so.
While the police officers are always busy with something else, it is more likely they would not appear, so bet on your luck. Even so, I have twice dispute with the presence of Police officers and won.
My driving record is clean for over 20 years, not a single point
