To be honest, if I can afford to buy my children $$$ cars, who cares?  how do I draw the line?  I can only buy my child a car that's within certain horsepower limit? or a $ figure?  20k is too much?  or 50k?  100k? 300k?

The most important thing is to educate them NOT to associate their identity/self worth with their cars.

    My comparison is that if something like Maserati 呢一類 grand tourer is not suitable for "teenage kid"...so as Volvo sedan. Because both are quite large sedan.

Also ...I guess diff place...diff culture la... In HK...so many ppl have "driver" for MB S-Class or even E-Class.
Here...many c-lai driving those...

你可以話我 stereotype 人哋嘅，但我絕對可以話俾你聽我無酸葡萄心態囉。其實我認為我之前已經講得幾明白㗎啦，不過等我再講多少少來再解釋一吓我嘅立場啦。

呢個世界有啲野叫做襯同唔襯。你試吓叫個 60、70歲嘅阿伯著 hip hop 衫睇吓會點？你幫個 5、6 歲嘅小朋友著套西裝佢就會變得老成持重、成個 CEO 咁款嘅呢咩？同一道理，Masarati 係個形象華貴嘅牌子，一個廿歲未夠、入世未深嘅小伙子（aka 靚仔）真係唔多襯得起架車。個哥哥仔如果換咗架 Sclass、7系、A8之類嘅老細車，果份格格不入嘅感覺就會變得更強。

你話咩車都足以死人，我絕對同意呀！但馬力嘅大小就更加容易做成有意外同無意外，又或者輕傷同重傷嘅分別。一架普通小房車由 0到100可能要 8、9秒。但同樣時間之內，一架大馬力嘅跑車可能已經飆到 160或更高。我唔敢話我自己好識車，但假假地小弟都有落場砌過吓咁，亦楂過啲馬力唔細，又或者係 power to weight ratio 都算高嘅車（雖然未有機會楂過任何 exotic 車）。我會好肯定咁同你講，架車嘅馬力越高，其實相對上個駕駛者嘅技術（甚至係心理質素）亦一定有必要提升。其實如果你睇返我之前個 post 所講果啲野，我亦都有提到技術同態度呢兩樣野。

至於廢柴講嘅廢話，我就一笑而之算喇～

Are you kidding? A Mustang can be 大馬力, but way more affordable than a Maserati. Who do you think you are? You are car expert and the other are kids?

If you go to Germany, many people including C9s, drive German cars.
You think only C9s here drive S-class?
