The Japanese trains are reliable. They claimed they are always on time for decades. But it is very suspicious. Most likely, the Japanese are just hyping.
Even here, our well-maintained skytrain break down before, causing delays. The Hong Kong subway, among the best managed in the world, also break down before, so did the European highspeed railway.
The sections of Chinese highspeed railway systems that are newly opened, still have some teething problems. More new sections will be opened every year. But the reliability and quality are still top notch. |
