Same thing as Japanese car made in USA, will you buy?

This is wrong comparison.
I am taking about Italian brand name, made in Italy, by a Chinese person.
The correct comparison should be:
A Japanese car, made in Japan, by a Chinese person.
Will you buy?

Remember that there are many African and East European immigrants in France and Italy.
Your LV wallet maybe made in France by an African worker.
Will you buy a made in France LV wallet, made by an African worker?

Just like made in Canada, can be made by people from any ethnic group.

Made in Italy by a Chinese person? Sure I will take it. It's under same training and same management of the same company. I see no difference from made by Italian or Chinese.

BUT i'm talking about brand name here...too bad there is NO Chinese luxury brand in leather goods...just admit it la...

Fibbi, yeah .. at least, those Italian-Chinese, or French-Chinese, are not brain washed ..  LOL

But how often? I am sure some (few) of them are chinese or indian, as 2 out of 5 people in the world are either chinese or indian ...

By the way Fibbi, you dont know more people buying LV in china then France mei? or anywhere else in the world!!

(I should say FROM MAINLAND CHINA)

Hehe. True that I can't find a Chinese Luxury Leather brand. But there's a 'luxury' brand for suits from China: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trands. Luxury in a way anyways... LOL

Anyways, Made in France, Made in Germany, Made in US, Made in Japan, Made in China... IMO... quality/craftmanship-wise... it's a wash.... I mean c'mon... I can assure you I can find something Made in China with excellent craftsmanship/QC/reliability/quality, and something made in France that's a piece of junk and still costs crap loads.

It's all in the mind, just so one can show off their 'Made in Bling country' stuff ba. Not being a hypocrite here. I admit I am also an offender in this, hard to resist stuff that says 'Hand Made in France' on it LOL.

Well ...that's what "luxury" is for.. ...for people to show off, for people to enjoy excellent craftmanship...
It takes time to establish the brand too...

Shanghaiese tailor is very famous too.

There is an article recently on MingPao that it takes years to train a person to maike a Hermes handbag...A person is required 8 yrs experience before he/she can handle more rare leather (like crocodile). Then it's craftmanship...and in return it charges you premium price lor.

So if Coach makes a wallet in China, will you buy?
Coach makes sure the craftmanship is the same.

So will you buy a Honda/Toyota made in Canada?
Will you buy an Audi made in China?
Will you buy a RIM phone made in Mexico?
Will you buy an iPhone made in China?

Yes I have Made in China coach bag. But I'm not paying premium price for it. The avg bag price is about $400-$500 while LV bag is avg at $1000.

Other things I don't  use so no comment.

I do hope one day we will have more well established Chinese brand to choose from.

I think all .. or most coach are made in china ... so, there is no choice.

Again, car, no choice, most Honda/Toyota in China now, made in china ..  that is why, few friends of mine, (in china, and china men@_@) they buy Subaru.

Audi ..  I am sure most buyers will prefer the German one, but huge price different.

Not just china, also same in TW. (if u want to call it TW province)
