I've been to both (Richmond and Chinatown) this year...and Chinatown is a lot more fun and a lot more crowded. There are tonnes of food stalls..selling everything from poutine, to corn to stinky tofu. Most people were there to eat, not shop tho....

Also I saw a couple of stalls that used to be at the Richmond night market, now stationed at the Chinatown one..I guess they moved over because the Richmond one wasn't setup in time.
