believe it or not Krispy Cream is still popular in Japan. (well as of earlier this year) I still saw lots of OL/girls lined up at the store and bringing in boxes of Krispy Cream in the train in Tokyo ...

Japanese ..  weird .. their donuts are 10 times better then Krispy Cream .. ( or burger .. whatever )

But .. long line up in Krispy cream everyday .. ( KFC too! )

When u go Japan, when u see a long line up .. dont follow!!

However, those old school sushi place .. offer good and cheap food ..  NO body line up .. but some old farts ..

Sometimes .. I can't understand why japanese still blind for whatever from stupid american !!!

i guess you never been to Japan...you didn't know a lot of the good sushi places in japan always have huge line up every single day?
even the most expensive ones have line ups.

it's just a matter of taste and/or emotional ties i guess... i would (and did) bring a box of timbits from Vancouver to hk (or any where for that matter) but i would not take a box of Krispy Cream to travel with me....

I know. I like Mister Donut's Pong de ring. But I don't like Japanese burger... MOS was BAD... so "wet"

You actually agreed with me. We need our own Chinese brands of burgers, pizza and fries. This is business opportunity. When you see Japanese burgers, just run away. Europeans, Americans, and Japanese have their coffee chain stores. We need our own Chinese coffee chain stores.

Yeah ... I like japanese donuts! yummy ..  

Ha ha .. I guess some people go japan .. and only FOLLOW those "tourist" books ..  that is why ..  always face long line up .. If go to "Joke Day" then yes .. long line up all the time ..  
However, many places, offering good sushi, and not long line up ..

I dont go to Japan that often, just been there twice this year, as Canada is so far from Japan .. and long flight ..    but my brother ( in HK ) he goes Japan a lots ...  ( 3-4 times a yr )   and some of my friends, for business reason, they do Japan almost everymonth .. few freinds of mine, actually moved there already ..   ( I guess lots of hongers, are crazy for japan .. )

It was funny, when I was back to Calgary from Japan in August, I got lots of handcarry .. with snack/etc from Japan airport .... then I met some japanese girls in Van, they are on the way to Calgary (banff)  they got tons of "ROOTS/Vancouver/etc" bags .. they said they love Canada so much .. and love banff a lots .. and asked me what to shop in Calgary/Banff ..    and I was speechless ..   

(back then, 100 yen was less then $1 cad ... )
