| According to my limited knowledge, there was no "hell" before God created the world, and also no such thing at the very beginning when the world was being created, cuz "all things are good" created by Him. But after Adam & Eve's "original sin" has been made, "hell" would be the place for "sinners" to go after death. The bible hasn't mention when exactly did God "create" or "name" a place called "hell". Maybe, He just created a new place for such a purpose, or renamed a particular used-to-be-good-place as "hell" afterwards. But no doubt, "heaven" and "hell" are two opposite places symbolic as good (a place that after lives can enjoy) and bad (a place that after lives will suffer) respectively. |
