I also got my wedding dress in Lisa's. They have lots of selection.
The very first dress that I fall in love with is $2500 that I can't justify myself paying that much and only wear once. So I give up and get another dress in Lisa's bridal. Gown shopping is just fun!
My vision of the dress was also tulle at the beginning but I changed my mind after I saw some beautiful french lace dresses. I was completely thrilled with the texture, pattern and feel of the lace!
Lisa's service sucks when I was going there. They won't suggest me anything and give me a dirty face !! I just walked out within 20mins.
Ya even they pin it for me, it's still very weird or perhaps I really didn't find the ONE that fits me the best. Bisou's Bridal has the best service (at least to me) and they carry a very nice but narrow selection. Anyways I am glad to get what I want now and I am looking forward to wearing on my day.

did you make an appointment to go shop for dresses at each shop? cus that's what you're supposed to do.... so they will have a lady to serve you only. if you walk in, they might not have time to serve you ga bor.
i think the most prettiest dresses were Bisou, Something Blue (i ALMOST got my dresses there....almost), Blush Bridal... Lisa's bridal, you really have to dig through ALL their dresses lor.
hmm... sounds crazy, but i wanna put on my wedding dress again just for fun, every year. AHHAHAHA see how many years it takes for me to not able to fit into it anymore
Oya of cuz I did make my appointment and perhaps I was just being served by the bad sales that day.
I had high expectation before I went to Something Blue because it carries Vera Wang exclusively in Vancouver back then (now Blush carries it, too). I wasn't able to find the ONE I saw on the site or else I would ALMOST ahaha..get my dress there, too.
Dress shopping is definitely the most enjoyable part throughout the whole planning process.
I know some girls would take their dress to take anniversary pictures, no kidding! Maybe you should do another anniversary photoshooti again...heehee

back then, i also had this dress idea in mind: vintage style with elaborate crystal/beading on the bodice. i found a beautiful one at Something Blue...but too bad, i was too skinny to wear it, it didn't look good on me. dress shopping was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN~!!! i didn't go with friends, i went with my mom, & sister, & a few times with my dad when he was back in vancouver at the time. i want only them to see me in a wedding gown FIRST!!!!
anniversary pics in wedding dress? can you imagine 10 years later taking that pic with your dress on?
