Actually, I found the official site
A is 1.55kg, C is 1.31kg.....only .24 kg difference.

Putting weight on the hook will exceed the loading capacity very quickly. It doesn't contribute to the stability if it's starting to get too heavy for the joints and the leg tubes.

I came back and I got SICK in HK.... I was too tired to go to 鴨寮街 alone. So on my last shopping day, I finally forced myself out the door and grap a friend who doesn't know anything with photography (but she had the day off!).
We went to 旺角星際 and after walking through all the stores, I can only find A1681 and A1691 in one store (no sign of any C model at 星際 and no sign of Benro in any CWB or Wan Chai or Central malls ).
I ended up getting the A1681 + B-0 Combo for $1230.
I didn't get as many misc gears as I hoped to for this trip.

Oh ..  you didn't get the C0680?  My buddy just bought a set, $1600 HKD .. pretty good deal.

A1681 is good, a bit heavier duty ..  I think I that that one... forget the model number, I bought few yr ago.

Yeah the A1681 is more heavy duty than I needed it. But that's the only thing I can find.

    $383 US wor  C fu, plus shipping/tax/duty/handling fee to Canada .. even US $ is so damn low now, still much more then $1,600 HKD ..  (and she was there anyway)
