Because they have never seen the "real" word. They only know pieces from here and there.
They dont know each word contains meaning

All they know is a bunch of 同音字 or word missing some important part. If language like u said is just for communication, perhaps all we need is just body language.

如果用一個字數少的文字, 比一個字數多的文字, 看來容易, 似乎要記的字少了.

如果真的 繼續採用第二階段簡化, .. 以韭菜餃字為例.. '韭'以音為簡變成'九', 咁"艽, 蚼, 笱, 耇, 芶, 岣, 九, 久, 狗, 糾, 苟, 赳, 枸, 玖, 韭" 都是一個字嗎!!??

咁要配詞才能知到解釋, 咁就是另一種難學.

何況仲未講到, 第二階段簡化之後, 最終是想文字拉丁化, 即只用音. 有個時期, 到現今還有出現.
   
例: ru　ce　hou　qing　xi　shou  !!!!!!!!! 我仲見過這樣的"英文"/"拉丁化中文字"sign在"動車"上.

I am not arguing whether simplified chinese is easier to memorize or to write or whether one is better than another or whether culture is lost.

I am just simply saying people who learned simp chinese have absolutely no problem of communicating and there's no issue of confusion among recognizing characters or misinterpreting the language.

不對，殘體字同音字太多，要講求凖確拍馬都追唔上正體，不過都啱既，咁先合付番大陸人得過且過既性格～～～

中文自冇再自然簡化落去係有極之合理既原因，再簡化就會同音同型字太多而減低意思傳遞既效率，呢啲係on9既中共所不能明白。
