Yes, depends on what your purpose is. If you "need" to get your own home, no matter how high or low the market price is, and if you're going to live in it for at least 10 years, you have very tiny little chance to loose money. But if you're aiming for the "best" investment (less capital for more return), then it's like playing stock, gotta look for the reasonably low price to buy in and higher price to sell out. Then the current price is not that low.

I am looking at the 10 yrs chart... let me dig it out when I have time.... or you can search on the internet....

I considered it "high" at the moment... I'm waiting for a "low" (or relatively low) comes up....

Actually London should be fine. I lived there before and if you live close to the tube exit then it is just like MTR in HK. Actually, most of my UK colleagues live outside London, then they have to either drive or take the train, then take the tube to office.
