I have same problem la.....I too have NO CONFIDENT in my legs at all....and I can't even fit in 99% of the long boots... >_<
But I found wearing slim fit jeans, w/ short boots or mid size...with some heels...definitely helps!
I seldom shop at Asian stores...most won't have my size...for Western store...I don't mind trying la... usually the sales don't care... you really don't know unless you try on...

我會建議你最小有一 set basic 嘅配套，例如 start with black and white 哩 D 唔會難襯得去邊嘅顏色， 最 basic嘅嘅咪係 淨black tee/shirt white tee/shirt short/long sleeves， 跟注基本上 on top of that你加咩背心呀外套呀再加D咩頸鍊呀頸巾呀， 下面就點都係 D 時款D嘅 bottom (哩個好難唔keep 住 update), 試吓買 arm 自己身材長度嘅裙, 想懶可以試吓買 one piece裙， 不過襯裙嘅高爭鞋就一定要買D 同買boots for winter. 咁跟住你會發覺雙腿差D野，你好自然就會識去買絲襪呀果D嫁喇

I hate trying on clothes... I usually look bad and got depressed after clothes shopping... May be cos I usually pick the wrong thing to try. @@

Hey 嘉嘉, sounds like a good, stylish leather jacket may work for you (at least for early fall and for spring) and it should last very long.

I do have a leather jacket but I never want to wear it... cos I don't want to look "ying" with my stupid face.

haha, yeah I think going with a girl friend is better than going with my bf too la, but not too many girl friends I can go with lor......   LOL, I don't usually go to chinese stores, cuz usually the store is small and they see what you are doing then they will come up and bug you and try to pick clothing for you and I hate that =___=;;;

I can't imagine what would I look like if I am in legging.........@O@;;;;
for heels, not too high is ok lor. Probably within 2 inches, but yeah I am not used to heels
every time when I wear something like that, my feet just can't wait till going back to my converse or runners, hahah

but like most of my girl friends are like either nerdy, quiet, tomboy, or weird taste (I have a frd who even dresses like an auntie!!!)
there are probably only 1 or 2 people that I would want to go shopping with....

oh I actually do have a black leather jacket (but of cuz not real leather la), but I don't know how to match it with a top
would the jacket + a 長身 tank top looks ok? (does it have to be 長身 underneath? since my legs are not that slim) and for shoes, what is the best to wear? I don't know what color to match lor >.< If i wear boots, should I match the jacket with a black boots also?
