    Reminds me of Y2K panic,
    all I did was to stock 2 cases of drinking water.
    For food? I often have enough for 1 month supply  in my garage

Don't put the propane and gasoline in the garage... Place it outside the yard cabinet where you can easily gain access and away from gas...

And I think that's what MOST ppl in Japan are doing. They try to stay until there is a evacuation order...
