I was told I will receive a prepaid Mastercard debit card instead of a cheque for a rebate. How do I use this card?

It's just like a Master card you can use in the web or buy stuff; however, there is a limit to it.  Once you used up the limit, the card become useless.  You can not use exceeding that limit neither.

7-11 and other supermarket sell it too.

So there is no password for this card? Just swipe it at the cashier?

if it's prepaid master card, it works like the real master card but just with limits.

You can use the card as MasterCard for any purchase.  However, I am not sure if you can use it on the Web.  Usually, Web purchases require name, address and CVV verification, which prepaid cards won't have.

Also, some card allow reload, so it may not be necessary a throw away.

yes you can use on the web, just put whatever name printed on the card.

I tried it once and it worked.

not that they are stupid, they tried to charge you... did you know if you go beyond you will pay a high service charge? So watch out for the limit!!! 對於卡公司黎講﹐你飛唔出他手指罅﹐他們最多比你 10% OVER LIMIT﹐美其名話等你唔好出醜﹐但我覺得他們是遮D意收巨大手續費﹐好多要比 $20-$25 架﹐換算起來是很貴的利息呢。。。另外用信用卡提款也是極溫笨﹐大家千祈唔好制﹐貴到癲﹐食人唔 LUR 骨呀

You cannot go over the limit for this prepaid kind.

You can recharge the card if issued by some banks (such as royal bank) otherwise, if your card has 1 dollars left, you cannot buy something that is 1.01.

did u get it through buying acuvue contact lens? i hate this new rebate system. I preffered the chq that they used t give.
There are only very limited retail places which take this Master debit card.
