It’s fall cleanup time

From October 10 to 18, Vancouver residents may dispose of household garbage for free at the Vancouver Landfill, 5400 72nd Street, Delta, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6 pm; and Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 6 pm.

Please have vehicle registration ready to confirm Vancouver residency.

Garbage may be transported to the landfill in passenger cars, trailers, small pick-ups and vans. Vehicles larger than 3/4 tonnes will only be allowed up to 500 kg of garbage for free. Commercial or hazardous waste will not be accepted.

The landfill also has a recycling depot for metals, propane tanks, corrugated cardboard, mixed paper, newspaper, tires (passenger/light truck only) and lead acid batteries.
