The topic of Christianity always stir some "heat" here. But how about Buddhism? Anyone here considered themselves 佛教徒 and willing to share some thoughts?

Here's something "funny" that 金庸 make use of the Buddhism belief:

我都算係佛教徒。

佛經比基督教的道理隨和得多。

對於教徒的交往亦冇咁PUSHY。
唔會聽道佛教徒不聽叫人去聽經。LIKE。。。叫過，咁咪得囉。人地唔去，咪當係冇緣。。。

但係神教徒唔係架嘛～ 好多都話，你冇時間呀？唔緊要，我地幾時再嚟搵你丫～ 唔聽BIBLE呀？ITS OK，嚟團契啦，一樣咋～ 咁我自己覺得。。。如果唔咁PUSHY會好D囉。起碼，多D人會覺得／印象你唔係PUSHY，係對你個教有HEART先囉～

咁我又覺得，宗教。。。係應該PROVIDE精神上的安慰。佛教與世無乜爭，係好事。
但係神教。。。點解要插手咁多野？睇返歷史，點解CHURCH要經手咁多政治？咁多科學？etc etc...

咁我覺得同宗教嘅PURPOSE冇咩關係囉。

ANYWAYS。。。實有人覺得唔啱聽架喇。。。OH WELL～

I don't like Christians who are pushy as well.  I don't think that is the teaching of the Bible as well.

Christian believe in their God because they think they have sin and their God can save them.  But how about 佛教?  Why do you need to believe?  And when you say you believe, what really is that you're believing?

Buddism... we really really have to define this term because it went through A LOT of developments

小乘佛教
大乘佛教
密教
禪宗
淨土
and last but not least.. the mixture of various cultural deities with buddism...
i.e. 華人民間信仰...
e.g. 拜女性化的觀音菩薩拜黃大仙拜孫悟空拜關公

of which, in the original form of buddism 小乘佛教, it is <i<ultimately Atheist</i>, because after all the 輪迴 (rebirths of the 6 realms), one goes into 涅槃 (Nirvana). Nirvana, in its 小乘(original) sense, means that you enter a final stage of painlessness. Another way to put it is that you become non-existent, and therefore no more pain.
So ULTIMATELY, there is no "god" in the "highest stage," hence sorta atheist...sorta

May I say, Buddhism and Christianity both have no problem. The problem is the people who believe them, but not really know the actual meaning and twisted to what they think they're right. Both parties have bad apples, really bad ones.

我唔係一個好 "勤力" 嘅佛教徒。。。我可以學多D，但係，最緊要自己心靈舒服。
唔係話有事先拜佛。。。不過，過時過節，我自己會ENJOY去佛寺，食齋，同師傅傾計。。。
好多神教徒，特別是後生的，去教會，好似交功課咁，DRAG YOUR AXX THERE。。。咁，我覺得，冇意思。

有D咩事，我唔會話只係識求神拜佛，我都會識諗吓佛道，諗吓因果。。。唔會好似神教咁只求寬恕，希望冇事就算。

佛教教因果，教自己嘅修行，唔同神教的樣樣都係因為神嘅創造ETC。。。（WHICH IS FINE TO ME，唔關我事）

I think you have misconceptions about Christians too, which is not abnormal because you might only saw the bad side and missed the good Apples.  Doesn't matter though, not gonna debate about this here.

Buddha never claim himself is God right?  I think 佛教徒 don't really worship Buddha or anything, like someone said they are more like Atheists.  But you said you worshipped, so who/what are you worshipping?
