So as of Jan. 1, when TransLink is poised to triple the provincial sales tax on parking, the total rate, when combined with the federal GST, will be 27.05 per cent.

And as of July 1, when the five-percent GST becomes the 12-per-cent HST, the hit will rise to 35.52 per cent.

Too bad that there won't be 100% TAX increase in Alcohol and Tobacco because 99% of those decisions makers are smoke or drink(If they're not permitted to drink either beer or wine I think they prefer to die)
