i believer tomtom has created an iphone app already...
from my personal experience, i've used blackberry's navigator...it drains the battery a lot quicker than regular use(voice/sms)
also the screen is too small...i would prefer a dedicated gps navigator device(with big screen).
right now some phone has function of gps too so it is not worth to buy gps.

Phone has a much smaller receiver and you will use up your data if it is in A-GPS mode. I still prefer a standalone unit, it's much faster and efficient.
TomTom and Garmin are all good stuff, regardless of price. I am still using my TomTom One 2nd Gen.
using a nuvi 260 now, brought couple years ago, good reception, light, easy to use.
some nuvi can have text and voice in chinese, but not all models, if it is something you need, you better check first.
