[日本料理] authentic Japanese ramen in GVRD

Disclaimer: I have absolutely no affiliation with this noodle house other than the fact that I luv it's noodles, and the pork bone soup stock, been there many times since early last week while my caucasian colleague of mine (who speaks and writes fluent Japanese BTW) took me there and I've been hooked to it since.
It's called Menya (men-ya) on Broadway and Yukon, just a small corner shop. All the folks working inside are Japanese but speak decent English. Their famous "store" noodle is the Nagahama tonkotsu ramen which is quite good, with good noodles (cooked just the way I like it and good texture also), and pork bone broth that is cooked with care. I ordered the set which comes with gyoza and a rice wrap also. On their wall they also have soyu ramen, tan-tan mein, chasiu ramen, etc. which I will definitely give them a try next time.
While I cannot speak for all other noodle luvers here, all I could say is that I would go there for lunch ever so often from now on (nothing tastes good in dwntwn these days, esp. with that one single noodle house on Howe st. that is operated by Koreans and the food has gone downhill since I started eating there 8+yrs ago...) In other words: nothing dwntwn is authentic anymore and tasted horrible IMHO.
I give them 8.5 out of 10
