[日本料理] manzo at capstain way

I Went to Manzo @ capstain way for dinner with my boyfriend last night.

We ate:

hamachi toro (it's cruchy not melt in my mouth),
mirugai sushi (so chuchy and sweet),
tobiko sushi ( alot of tobiko inside and fresh),
toro sushi (not melt in my mouth, little bit chewy)

deluxe lobster roll (they put a lot of real lobster meat and cucumber in the roll, big pieces of lobster meat with cream cheese sauce on top, taste good and it's worth $19.99 for 8 pcs),

oyster motoyaki ( too much mushroom in it),

fresh oyster (too small but fresh),

red tuna sushi,
beef sashimi (they cut into thicker slice than other's )

TOP

grilled Saba (tasteless, too dry and small portion, need some sauce for it..but they don't),

prawn tempura
--- the batter are crispy and the prawns cook about right.. not over cook or chewy, like other's .. we like it

deep fried mango ice cream with lychee liquior (don't like the batter, it's too thick, but mango ice cream and liquior taste so good.

The bill end up $113 + tips = $130  for 2 of us with 2 bottles of Kirin( my bf drank it), it's not bad. alot of friends said that they are expensive.. but I found out .. only their sake and few of sashimi are expensive..

They are serving a lot of high end sake over $100 per bottle there.

TOP

their food is quite good, but kind of overprice
