Cafx Crxpxs on robson & burrard

On a monday afternoon, my 3 friends and i decided to stop by cafx crxpxs.  we picked this location opposed to the one on granville because we were thinking this location has better seatings.  got there, there is a group of 6 waiting in front of us. we asked how long it was going to be for a table of 4 and they said 20 mins. so we waited... and we waited, waited, took them about 40 mins to seat us.  in the mean time they seated a lot of table of 2s, at locations that they could've easily sat us 4 down.  but it's ok, it's during the olympic period... it's busy in downtown, we understood.  a lot of people waiting in line behind us were complaining but we were in good spirits.

finally we got seated. took about 10 mins before a server stood behind us with a notepad.  she didnt really ask us what we wanted but we started telling her what we want cuz she just stood there... and we figured she was here to take our orders.  we ordered a plate of fries, 2 sweet crepes and 2 savory crepes, 3 ice water, and 1 water with lemon.  5 mins later another table of 4 was seated next to us and was promptly greeted by another server who took their order right away and they also ordered a plate of fries along with something else.  in 5 mins the table next to us got their fries... where did ours go???

took them 10 mins to bring us water, and there was no lemon.  and one cup of water was dirty (there is some white stuff stuck on the cup, on the inside too!) so we asked for a diff cup of water and also some lemon, which took another 5 mins to come.

we waited for another 30 mins and no food shows up yet... so my friend got a bit agitated and walked up to the serves at the counter and asked where our food was.  she was just told it's here soon. within 5 mins, the fries and the 4 crepes came.  then the nightmare starts.

the fries was hot and fresh, just a little too salty but nothing much to complain about.  i mean, it's just fries, cant go too wrong with that.  but the crepes..... ALL OF THEM WERE COLD.  not even warm, they were COLD.  the fillings were COLD, the crepe itself is not fresh... how can i tell? because it was COLD and HARD (had to use a lot of force to cut it open with a knife).  you can still kind of get by the sweet ones being cold, but the salty ones???? we pointed that out to the server (actually wasn't even our server who brought us the water and the food, it was another guy... so we just asked him about everything since our server NEVER came to check on us AT ALL)... he offered to have the crepes remade for us but we refused and told him we didnt want to wait another 25 minutes for another batch of disgusting crepes.  then he walked away.  my friend who ordered savory crepes took a bite and couldn't take it anymore so she had it taken away.  i also had svory crepes but cold ones are really disgusting so i only had half of it.  my other two friends finished theirs. we also finished the fries.  during the meal no one checked on us, we had empty cups and no one offered to refill water... even when our server (who FINALLY showed up just to clear off ONE plate while the rest of us were still eating) saw that our cups were empty she did nothing. we asked for the water to be refilled and they still did nothing. when we wanted napkins my friend had to turn around and look over the counter and bend over to get some.  after a while they asked us if we wanted the bill and we said yes.

they didnt charge us for the savory crepe that my friend had asked to be taken away.  we were hoping that there would be a comment card so we can write down some complains but there wasnt. so we took a napkin and started writing and was going to put it down on the table. the server came and took the bill away and cleared off the rest of the plates and she saw my friend writing on the napkin.  she tried to peek but my friend wasn't finished writing so she kind of hid it from the server.  the server assumed we were writing her angry notes and asked if we wanted to speak with the manager.  we said yes.

the manager came, with no smiles on her face at all, just a straight face and asked us what the problem is.  she also said she doesnt want us to be writing her staff any angry notes.  we explained to her we were just trying to write down our comments and it wasn't "angry notes" and she just said "oh then you can just tell me your comments". i asked if they have any comment cards and she just gave me a flat "no." ... so we told her what happened and how we are unsatisfied.  we did compliment on the guy who wasn't the server but brought us food because his service was the only thing that was right in this place.  we also told her about how the food was cold and anything.  she still looked at us with a straight flat face and told us "well i think that's just a miscommunication with the kitchen", no apologies AT ALL.  when we went on telling her it's not just about "miscommunication" we were told that we should just leave! we can't believe it AT ALL! after you failed in your food and your service you just tell your customers off like that!??

bottom line is, if your customers are unhappy, at least apologize. even IF it was like how she said (which was not the whole problem) just miscommunication with the kitchen, it's still their fault and they should've apologize... not tell the customers to go away!

i've been to this location before (about two years ago).  service was a bit slow but people were still friendly and food was still good.  they have just went downhill ever since.  I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.  trust me, i will NEVER return to this location at all (if to any cafx crxpxs at all) and i'll make sure everyone i know will not go there!

the only Crepes in the area I would go is the one under Futureshop, the other one on granville near Smithe serving so slow, no problem if I go with a couple of friend to spend a few hours but not when I want to have a quick bite. 9no problem with their food tho)

i went to the one under future shop and their food has no problem too.. but this time............
and not just our table, they also messed up many tables' orders during the time we were there. many tables waited a looooooong time for the food.  the food was ready for a long time but no one brought it to the us that's why the food was just sitting there dusting and turned cold and hard

Most of the time I order crepe to go so there is no problem....But yeah...dine-in is usually slow.

well... "Cafx Crxpxs" is just McD of crepes..... I don't go there...

I went there once with my frds...their service is slow..and also the crepes are not that tasty either... there were 2 servers chit chating at that time..and didnt even bother come to take our order...
addicted to OROCHI Z~~! ♥

i don't know... long wait is fine if it's worth it...
service was unacceptable.. but what really made as mad was the attitude the have there, esp the manager.
