I just wonder how we can be so sure they have insufficient passion for the game. Curling is just like a chess game and most of these curlers from other countries keep their cool so that you can't read their emotions from their faces.
Of course, these Chinese short track speed skaters were celebrating wildly after they actually won their medals, but the curlers have not even finished their competition yet.
But anyway, these Chinese curlers have achieved more for their country than you ever will.

Pete, I think you totally misunderstood. The article is not talking about their achievement or how fast they learn curling. It's about the passion about the sports. No matter how fast they improve themselves or how good they play in few years, if they do not have passion for the sports, why do they go to Olympics?

If you want to enjoy the game, just do it in your backyard. Why go to the Olympics?
Olympics is one business. And this business is about winning medals.
