[中餐館] Starry Night Restaurant

Has anybody been to Starry Night Restaurant in Richmond near Costco?  They had lots of advertisement in the media claiming to have spent a lot of decor and stuff.  Is the food good?

hmm...sounds really expensive for a lunch...that type of food creation (the grinding sesame DIY part) is prevalent in taiwan...and it costs way less. But it's a fun first time.

I had really good tonkatsu in Japan for about $15 but it was so so good. self grind sesame, all you can eat barley rice and super crunchy cabbage salad.

We went for dinner last week after seeing the review in Chow Time.  We probably won't go back anymore...

1) They have REALLY loud live music, so we can't even HEAR each other when we talk, we talked to the waitress and even she said she has to shout.

2) The food is REALLY REALLY expensive, me and my husband had 2 soup, 2 dish, and it cost us almost $80. The other couple we were with had 2 appertizer and 1 dish shared and they are $70..

3) The food is NOT THAT good, it's ok food, but not WHOA good food.  I had that DIY sesame pork chop, ok la, I won't pay $30 for it again lor.

4) The decor is weird, they have changing lights, maybe I am getting old, but I really don't appreciate seeing my friend's face go "red purple green blue purple green blue" all night long.... Very mah Q farn.

I don't really like the place as well, we went there for the afternoon tea. The tea sets are around $15-17?! We ordered the $16 one, and it comes with a choice of tea or coffee - the only thing i like was the 2 desserts. Expensive foods, ok services, probably won't go back again.
