I had extremely poor experience making my dresses in China
.
We even got in a fight with the tailor on the street about the dresses. They can promise you anything, but the outcome is a totally different story.
They first said 1 fitting then it's ready to go the next time. So I picked the fabric and they did the measurement, booked the fitting date for the first time I was there. On the fitting date, everything is not right on all the dresses, like 左右不對秤, chest is completely flat, not curve cutting (not because of no pads), the sleeve is sticking up (literally), the train of the dress is on the side not at the back, etcetc. So I pointed them out. Went in the third time, the dress is not ready at all. So didn't argue too much, and decided to go in two days later instead. And obviously the dresses were not at all altered then. As I needed to fly back to Canada the next day, so I told them I'll sit there and wait for them. Waited for 4+ hours, but of course with their standard and 手工, the dresses were just piece of crap. They insisted they did a great job already or I could let them know what's wrong and they would fix them and refused to give us refunds on deposits, so we got in the fight.
anyhow, afterall, I only accepted the cheungsum and gave up the two dresses, and just took off, didn't pay the remaining balance (of course I also didn't get the deposits back for all dresses).
The cheungsum, I brought it to the tailor here in Canada, paid another CAD$200 to fix it.....so would you still want to make your dresses there. |
