為癌童籌款 教授剃光頭 青少年, 香港, 基金

香港大學副校長兼醫學院外科學系講座教授譚廣亨夫婦、兒童及青少年科學系教授陳志峰三人，昨日身先士卒參與剃光頭籌款活動，為兒童癌病基金籌得逾 80萬元用以研究癌病。三個「光頭」非為名利，只是希望今次身體力行能喚起更多人關注兒童癌病，為未來的社會棟樑帶來希望。

what is so special with 剃光頭???? and by 剃光頭 they can raise 800k?? WOW!

but anyway, it is a good cause.

剃光頭 as 身體力 行 because a lot of cancer patients undergoing chemo lose hair.

My coworker did the same to raise money few years back.  He had close relative passed away in cancer and he wanted to raise money for the hospital.  It is the message that they want to bring out and the money that donated to.  My respect to them all.

I respect them too. They did something great for the community.
And btw... I think this is the amount you get when you have a lot of rich friends. Let's say you do the same for raising fund for cancer patients here, unless you are as popular as they are, you prob won't raise as much.
