If you don't want to make your own boric acid ant bait, places like Home Depot and Crappy Tire have ant control baits for sale. They're essentially a pre-made mixture of diluted boric acid and sugar water.
Note that if you attempt to control ants this way, it is a long and enduring battle you have to wage. In the end, the insects will always win out because of their sheer numbers and perseverance.
Boric acid dust is good for killing ants, as the dusts will stick to the ants' body and the ants will bring the dusts to the ants nest. At last, most of the ants will die inside the nest , instead of killing few ants outside the house .
