Airlifted to hospital; condition unknown
METRO VANCOUVER - A one-year-old girl has been airlifted to hospital after falling from a third floor balcony in Mission late Wednesday afternoon.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. at 33393 1st Avenue, at Murray Street. At 6:30 p.m., five police cars remained on scene and the area was cordoned off, according to witnesses.
It is believed the baby suffered head injuries.
The building is a mix of business and residential units, with a food market and liquor store on the ground floor, businesses on the second and apartments on the third and fourth.
