Black Top Cabs says it's losing business

2 Comment(s)  3 Recommendation(s) VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - New excessive speeding laws are having a negative effect on some taxi drivers.

The owner of Black Top Cabs says he is losing out on business because one of the drivers he hired was caught excessively speeding and the cab was impounded for a week. Bryant Ibbetson tells the Province newspaper the rules are unreasonable for his business.

BC's Superintendent of Motor Vehicle's isn't too sympathetic, saying it is the responsibility of the vehicle's owner to make sure whoever drives the car knows the rules of the road.
