Two dead, another in hospital with serious injuries

Be the first to Comment  0 Recommendation(s) PITT MEADOWS (NEWS1130) - Two young people are dead and a woman is in the hospital after a crash on the Lougheed Highway in Pitt Meadows last night.

Witnesses say a woman in a Toyota was speeding east through the intersection at Harris Road when she hit the median and overturned into the westbound lane.

Her car hit a Suzuki with two people inside. 21-year old John De Oliviera and 19-year old Rebecca Duyer died instantly. The 23-year old driver of the Toyota is in the hospital and is under investigation.

The highway was closed until just after 6:00 a.m.; traffic in the area is still heavily backed up.
