PITT MEADOWS (NEWS1130) - A 20-year-old man has been arrested after a teenager was stabbed outside a house party in Pitt Meadows yesterday morning.
Mounties say the suspect is known to them. The man was apprehended at his home without incident just before noon today.
Ridge Meadows RCMP Superintendent Dave Walsh says police didn't have much trouble tracking him down. "He was going by an alias or a nickname of some sort, but it was fairly clear to us early on that several people at the party knew who this guy was. They've been drinking there all night."
Police are recommending charges of aggravated assault and uttering threats against the victim. They claim the man got into an argument with the 16-year-old victim before he stabbed him.
