[西餐] Which restaurant will u go for "Dine Out Vancouver"?

好少去食西餐﹐邊間餐廳你地食過覺得幾好呢?
其實 "DOV" 比平時 (regular price) 平幾多呢?

好想去五帆嗰間
不過唔知咩名

Some restaurants are cheaper than their regular menu, some are just similar.
I am just trying 2 "value" ones this year. Bistro 101 (the cooking school) for $18 dinner. And the Observatory for $38 including Gondola lift up the mountain and whatever is free up there. I am hoping to ride on the slate! And if the weather is good, the view would be great up there. (totally no expectation to the food tho)
Market (and West as well) is definitely cheaper than their regular menu but I don't like their DOV this year. I may just go there for lunch set menu later in the spring when my sister and her husband come and visit us.

Let us know if C is better now. I like their new sous chief (when he was at diff restaurants)

Stopped going to DOV since a few years ago, other than for group gathering of a bunch of friends. I'm not saying it's bad for every restaurant, but the odd is definately against you. It is usually worse in service, food quality and food choice. The place is more crowded, they pack tables closer together, and really, it isn't all that much cheaper... IMO it's a worse value proposition than just going on regular days. The tiny savings is definately not worth getting treated like a 2nd class diner.
