Montessori or not, it depends on how the principal runs it.
My coworker's daughter went to Montessori for 1 week, and her daughter keep crying because their teacher keep ignoring her question. Once switched, so happy to go to school. But, IMO, that is just a bad example of how a school is being run, not necessarily a result of the Montessori system.
All in all, the best way to judge a pre-school/Montessori is either by word of mouth or pay a visit in person and see how the kids behave. The 2 candidates that I register ( one regular and one Montessori ) are recommended by friends and coworkers. After visit and they both seems to be very well organized.
Do register early -- or at least leave a name in place. Vacancies are getting very tight in the last couple years. |
