Earthquake hits MexicoMagnitude 6.5 shaker was centred in Veracruz

MEXICO CITY (NEWS1130) - A 6.5 magnitude earthquake has hit southern Mexico.

It was centred in Veracruz, but sent buildings swaying for several seconds in Mexico City. The shaker was felt strongly in Chiapas, a state bordering Guatemala.

There's no word yet on damage or injuries.
