In the anticipation of the speed-bump of the newer Macbooks and Macbook Pros, many of the Apple resellers are slashing their prices to clear out current models. I expect new models to show up in Vancouver on around March 7th. Newer models will be $50 cheaper than the current models and current models are being sold under-cost at many places I've seen. In my store, I am already out of Macbooks and only a few (opened box) Macbook Pros left.
Apple on their other hand is cutting the refurbished models by at least another hundred Link Base models now starts at $899 (reg $1299), which is a good time to get a Mac. Apple's refurbished stocks are good as new, they all come with standard 1 year warranty and same support + the AppleCare option (highly recommended).
