IHIT investigating homicide at a Hope motel
It's the same motel where reality TV contestant Ryan Jenkins committed suicide

0 VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is looking for witnesses after a 67-year-old man was assaulted at a motel in Hope last night.
The man was taken to hospital, where he passed away early this morning.
Corporal Dale Carr with IHIT says the 43-year-old suspect who initially fled is now in custody.
"Around 6 o'clock last night, the Hope RCMP were able to locate and arrest the suspect. He remains in custody. We're expecting he will be attending court either Monday or Tuesday of this week."
He says the two men were known to each other, but the motive of the crime remains unknown.
The Thunderbird Motel was the site of the suicide of Ryan Jenkins, a reality TV contestant who was accused of killing his former wife Jasmine Fiore. Carr says there is no connection between the two incidents.
