Protectionpower.ca recommended you travel light regardless of where you are or where you go.
If you're travelling within Canada there is no need to pack along your passport, but if you are out of the country make sure you make copies of all your important documents before your leave.
The identity protection site also suggests someone you know and trust has access to this information, just in case.
The site also says the best thing you can do is to keep in touch by regularly updating friends and family on your whereabouts. However, be careful what you're posting on Facebook and Twitter. |
