VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Day three of Vancouver's biggest birthday bash, the Summer Live festival in Stanley Park, is well under way, with more music and events for the whole family.
Erica Mattson with the City says over 50,000 people have visited Stanley Park to attend the festivities since Friday, and she expects to see another 20- to 30,000 by the end of tonight.
"There are lots of people, mixes of ages, and you can see Vancouver's full cultural diversity is out," she says.
The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra began playing the Coast Capital Main Stage at 5:15 p.m., to be followed by Spirit of the West at 7:45.
Headliner Dan Mangan takes the main stage at 9:30.
"On the Trail's Edge Stage we have some really great indie bands performing tonight," adds Mattson.
"The Belle Game, the Dustin Bentall Outfit - which is Barney Bentall's son - We Are The City, and Hey Ocean!"
Festival-goers are reminded once again to enter the park on foot or by bike, as traffic into and out is quite heavy |
