Yesterday afternoon, seven off-duty cab drivers were at a picnic table when a car careened into them.
Yellow Cab Operations Manager Surinder Kang confirms to News1130 that Ramesh Sharma, a husband and father of three children, was killed in the crash. He adds that Sharma had worked for the company for over 25 years and was in his mid-50s.
"Everybody is in shock and is devastated and they are terribly sad," says Kang.
The driver of the car, reportedly a woman in her 80s, was also injured in the crash.
No word yet if police will be recommending charges. "My superiors will be speaking with them [police] and we will be consulting with them and we'll see what they have to say," explains Kang. |
