Or put it this way... If this babe is checked to be having inborn heart defect and the parents are running out of funds for operations, and if extending the babe's life is of the highest concern, this may be one of the very worst decision the parents can think of...
When I read there are news about a mom forcing and watching her daughter being raped with no help, mom wrapped her baby just born with garbage bag and dumped into a garbage bin, father raped his own daughter.... etc, this case is sad but is not the worst already.

Lik, besides marks 0 and 100, don't you think there are marks in between? I know you tend to like extreme situations though, but the reality is much more than that.

True, and that's why I am asking, when you set your (minimally acceptable) standard, where do you draw the line? Do you set it at 50, or do you set it at 10 and tell people at least it isn't 0?
Let's compare with academic marks, 0 score nothing and 100 is full, 50 is the pass mark.
All the example cases above are below 50 for sure, yet I can't give an exact mark for each case. By comparison, the mom who wrapped the baby with garbage bag and dumped her into garbage bin is worse than the parents who left their baby in the room. But if I rank the former case (the mom) 0 mark, and if I see another case which is a father chopped his son into pieces, put them in a microwave and make minced meat pasta and consume it, that is worse than the garbage case (providing that there is no minus mark).
I try to explain my thinking to you, hope you understand. It's not a debate nor vote. You can treat it as my personal feeling, I like this camera more but I dislike that car. My standard could be totally different to yours.
