NORTH VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - The team from Langley is going to the Little League World Series. Four runs in the first inning, another seven in the second and the game was pretty much over.

BC won the Canadian Little League Championships 11-0 over Valleyfield, Quebec in four innings at Chris Zuehlke Memorial Field.

Team Manager Dean Cantelon says the boys are pretty excited to head to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania tomorrow.

"This has always been in the back of their mind now, for a bit now, and to see it come through, they're very excited about it," he tells News1130. "There was a lot of emotions on our bench when we did win this game."

Langley becomes the seventh straight team from BC to represent Canada at the Little League World Series.

The Little League World Series runs August 20-26. The best Canada has ever finished was runner up in 1965, when Ontario's Stoney Creek Little League lost 3-1 to Windsor Locks, Connecticut in the championship game.
