UPDATE: The boy who went missing on Granville Island this afternoon has been found. Police launched a search with around a dozen officers and at around 6:30 p.m. he was found safe. He is said to be okay.
EARLIER:
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Police are still looking for an eight-year-old boy who's been reported missing on Granville Island.
Some business operators have been told the boy may have been part of a daycamp that was visiting the waterpark at the False Creek Community Centre.
Police aren't yet releasing any details about the boy, but callers say he has been missing since mid-afternoon.
The boy is described as aboriginal and is not wearing a shirt - only a pair of shorts.
There are dozens of officers in the area and people on Granville Island are being told to keep their eyes peeled |
