COQUITLAM (NEWS1130) - A fire at a three-storey condo on Begin Street in Coquitlam has closed Brunette Avenue from King Edward to Laval Street.
Black smoke can be seen from Highway 1.
There is no word on injuries.
Witnesses say there was roofing work underway at the time the fire broke out, shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Residents are being shuttled to an emergency reception centre at the Dogwood Pavilion.
